We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Seth Pedigo of the Dead Broke Barons at Lost River Cave to discuss his banjo.  In the video below, Seth discusses the history of the banjo, how he came across his, and the symbolism behind his hand drawn illustrations on the instrument.  This piece was produced by WKU PBS crew member Neil Purcell.

LRS LIVE! Returns January 19th

The first LRS LIVE! of 2017 is set for January 19th at the Capitol Arts Center in Bowling Green, KY. Featured acts include singer-songwriter Carl Anderson and indie folk rock group rose hotel.  Tickets are $10 and available now at theskypac.com.  An additional show date had been added for February 16th.  The lineup for that show will be announced soon.

Watch: Erin Rae performs "Clean Slate" live

Simply put, Erin Rae may have the purest voice in all of music. It isn’t just her soothing vocals that set Erin’s music apart, but also her unique ability to pen songs that conjure up the deepest of emotions. Listening to her album, Soon Enough, it’s hard not feel the same levels of emotions that one might experience when flipping through a box of old, faded photographs from days long past. And much like those old photographs that still draw from our emotional reservoirs all these years later, we suspect Erin’s music will hold up equally well for years to come.

LRS LIVE! announced for November 17th. Will be broadcast live.

The final installment of LRS LIVE! for 2016 has been announced.  The concert will take place November 17th at the Capitol Arts Center in Bowling Green, KY and will feature acts Billy Strings as well as the Pennyrilers.  The concert will also be broadcast live over the radio via WKU Public Radio.  Tickets are $10, with student discounts available, and can be purchased at theskypac.com.  Doors will open at 6:30pm with the concert starting at 7pm.

Lost River Sessions LIVE! concert announced for October 27th.
