Hannah Juanita and Pierce Edens

Don’t miss our next Lost River Sessions Live event on April 13 with Hannah Juanita and Pierce Edens.

Hannah Juanita left her home state of Tennessee in her early twenties eager to travel, experience, and meet the world. Eventually, she made it back to Nashville with nothing but her dog Loretta, her guitar, and a handful of heartbreak songs. She started singing around town and quickly became a staple live performer and a highly respected vocalist in the traditional country scene in Music City, known for her classic, old-school sound. Self-proclaimed ramblin’ gal, Hannah Juanita has toured heavily around the country since 2021 headlining and supporting acts like Kaitlin Butts, Nick Shoulders, and Jesse Daniel. Her debut record ‘Hardliner’ established her reputation as a full-hearted, free-spirited, and irresistibly genuine honky tonk angel. Wild as a mink but sweet as soda pop, this Tennessee songbird was named one of the five females creating the future of country music by Grammy.com.

Pierce Edens is an independent musician and singer-songwriter from Western North Carolina. He is best known for his powerful vocals and haunting, fiery music that captivates listening rooms and excites dance floors in equal measure. Edens has shared the stage with notables such as the Wood Brothers, Robert Earl Keen, Steve Earl, Southern Culture on the Skids, and Hayes Carl. With well over five million streams on multiple platforms and pockets of loyal fans across the nation, audiences continue to indulge in the hard-edged folk sound he creates. In addition to singing, Edens plays rhythm guitar and kick drum, employing a stripped-down, less-is-more approach to percussion reminiscent of the White Stripes. Reese accompanies Edens with lead guitar and mandolin, completing the duo’s sound that is both intimate and gritty, atmospheric and raw

Zachary Lucky and opener, Tramp

February 15th will kick off the 2024 Lost River Sessions Live Concert Season with headliner Zachary Lucky as he makes his Bowling Green debut.

For over ten years, Zachary Lucky has steadily been building a name for himself on Canadian and International stages alike often performing hundreds of shows every single year. He has performed at festivals such as the Regina Folk Festival, Dawson City Music Festival, and Mariposa Folk Festival in Canada - and at International festivals such as Wickerman (Scotland), Latitude (UK), the Static Roots Festival (Germany) and has twice been an official showcasing artist at Folk Alliance International.

He is unapologetically old-school country, armed with a husky, baritone voice - He often receives comparisons to songwriters such as Gordon Lightfoot and Kris Kristofferson. He sings of Canadian places and people as knowingly as he might Townes Van Zandt or the Rio Grande. It's a relatable show on many levels and conjures universal feelings that have passed through our collective timelines. Already hailed as a master storyteller by outlets ranging from No Depression to The Globe and Mail, Zachary is becoming a legend in his own right and has safely reserved his spot at the table of Canadian roots royalty.

Over the course of his career, Zachary’s music has been featured in numerous television shows and movies - most recently in the Netflix series “The Ranch”. You could also hear his songs featured in shows such as “A Summer Romance” (Hallmark Summer Movie), Arctic Air (CBC), and Continuum (Showcase).

Opening for Zachary is local favorite, Tramp

LOST RIVER SESSIONS PRESENTS: a Bluegrass Holiday

Lost River Sessions welcomes you to a Bluegrass Holiday, with The Alley Cats, Arthur Hatfield and Buck Creek, and Vickie Vaughn and Friends! Join us at The Capitol on December 2 at 6:30 pm Central, for a night of music and holiday cheer you will not forget!

All the way from Nashville, award-winning bassist and vocalist Vickie Vaughn is making her Lost River Sessions debut. She has performed at DelFest, the Grand Ole Opry, and recently was featured in a Musician Spotlight at the Country Music Hall of Fame. In 2023, she was named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Bass Player of the Year. Music has been in Vaughn’s blood since youth, saying “I started out singing at a music venue near my hometown in Western Kentucky called The Kentucky Opry. I got hired full-time as a background vocalist and featured performer when I was nine years old. Continuing there for the next nine years was SUPER important to my development as a musician and an artist.” Now, Vickie Vaughn fronts a band of talented musicians who create an astonishing bluegrass ensemble.

The Alley Cats are from right here in Bowling Green, a group consisting of Benjamin Douglas Deaton, Cody Beck, Matthew Brooks, and Stephen Yates.

Arthur Hatfield and Buck Creek hail from Glasgow and consist of Arthur Hatfield, Ricky Burch, Amanda Everett, and Johnny Day. The group has released four recordings and has garnered fans from across Kentucky and beyond. With their ensemble of banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and iconic vocal harmonies, this band is overflowing with jaw-dropping talent.

LOST RIVER SESSIONS PRESENTS: The Flat River Band with The Jenkins Twins

It’s a family affair this Lost River Sessions as The Jenkins Twins are opening LRS on March 16. Trevor and Trenton have carefully crafted their modern country, contemporary indie sound to create a feeling of nostalgia with every record they’ve put out. With their album “Jellico” and E.P. “Alive and Well” these brothers are going somewhere, and we are so glad to be supporting them while their up & coming!

The Flat River Band is the headliner for the night. The 3 brothers grew up in a multi-generational family band so needless to say, music is their expertise. They have held residencies at Silver Dollar City in Missouri and Dollywood in Tennessee. They have charted #1 on bluegrass gospel charts throughout their career and opened for The Chicks’ Natalie Maines, Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Rhonda Vincent, TG Sheppard, and more.
