LOST RIVER SESSIONS PRESENTS: Eric Bolander with Hunter Flynn in SOMERSET!

Lost River Sessions is back! Did you miss us? Because we missed y’all!!

We are starting the Fall ‘23 season off strong in Somerset, Kentucky! On August 17, the highly talented and soulful artist, Eric Bolander, will be gracing the stage at the iconic venue, “The Virginia.” Bolander’s music transcends genres, combining the best components of Americana, blues, folk, and rock. With his enthralling songwriting skills, resonant vocals, and expert guitar playing, the Kentucky native has carved a distinct niche for himself in the music industry.

Eric Bolander grew up surrounded by music. Influenced by artists like Neil Young, Tom Petty, and Ryan Adams, he developed an appreciation of storytelling through his music and sincere performances that creates a feeling of authenticity and raw emotion. Bolander’s music includes a variety of themes such as love, loss, redemption, and the overall complexities of life, showing that not only does he sing about hard topics, but he’s lived them.  Whether he’s exploring the dark corners of the human experience, or celebrating moments of love and resilience, the “art teacher by day musician by night,” has something for everybody and every occasion. Come out to The Virginia and be immersed in the experience that is Eric Bolander live. You don’t want to miss it!

Hunter Flynn is kicking off the night as the opener, and his raspy country sound has the power to put you in a trance. Also a Kentucky native, Flynn wrote the songs, “East Kentucky Dream” and “Granny’s Song,” will give a sense of nostalgia like no artist has before. He speaks from a place that only a Kentucky boy could truly understand. Flynn's ability to connect with his fans on a personal level and create a sense of shared emotion is testament to his magnetic personality and genuine passion for music. Flynn came out with an EP last spring, and with each release, he pushes boundaries and explores new musical territories. Watch out for Hunter Flynn because he is on track to be a legend! And we at Lost River Sessions, are so glad to say we knew him in his beginnings.
